As usual, Minister-President Jan Jambon addressed the established bodies on July 1th, Flanders Day. Exceptionally, he did this not from the courtyard of the Errera House but via a video message.
In his message he expressed his deepest condolences to the victims of the worldwide pandemic caused by the coronavirus. The human suffering is severe and the fight against this virus has not yet been fought.
Nevertheless, Minister-president Jambon also wished to send a message of hope. He referred to the great efforts currently being made by Flanders Vaccin, in the development of a vaccine against the virus. And to the Government's recovery plan to support the open Flemish economy.
Minister-President Jambon emphasized that despite the current restrictions, Flanders will continue to focus on maintaining and intensifying good relations with foreign partners.
