The conflict in Yemen has been going on for a long time, but in recent years the humanitarian situation of the population has deteriorated.
The Red Cross Flanders will urgently assist refugees in precinct conditions in the provinces of Lahij, Taiz, Al Dhale'e, Amran, together with the German Red Cross and the Yemeni Red Half Moon volunteers.
Assistance is provided in the area of food and water supply, basic hygiene and medical and psychosocial care. Specifically food packages for 200 displaced families, and the distribution of blankets, basic hygiene products, household utensils and kitchen supplies, psychosocial care equipment (toys and drawing material) for 300 displaced families. The 4 departments of the Yemeni Red Half Moon are also supported with first aid and medical equipment.
