Beneficiary: ILO (via Flanders - ILO trustfund)
Amount: 400.000 euro
Duration: January 2016 – June 2018
The need for care is rising worldwide due to increased aging. Yet the care economy is being organized very differently in different parts of the world. This project researched how these are organized according to the division of care tasks between men and women and between informal and formal care tasks. The research establishes that additional investments in the care economy can create 475 million additional jobs worldwide by 2030.
