Duration: 1 year
iSANS is a network of international experts in support of democracy, the rule of law and state sovereignty in Europe and Eurasia. In Belarus iSANS is closely associated with the opposition of Belarusian Svetlana Tichanovskaya, and iSANS plays a role in Belarus' democratic transition by publicizing the misdeeds of the Belarusian regime and raising awareness among the international community.
iSANS publishes a weekly overview with a state of affairs in Belarus, which is also distributed via their newsletter. With the support of the Dutch embassy, iSANS is also working on a research project called BYPOL. The aim is to list human rights violations committed by members of the Belarusian security services and to bring them before the (international) courts. The subsidy applies to the year 2021.
