The exhibition “Rubens. Painter of sketches” will take place from 9 April to 5 August 2018 in the Prado Museum in Madrid. The museum brings together 75 artworks of Pieter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). The exhibition will also be shown at the Boijmans van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam.
Peter Paul Rubens is an Antwerp painter. He is regarded as the most important artist of the 17th century in Northern Europe, and the most important representative of the Flemish Baroque.
The Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid is one of the largest and most popular art museums in the world. In the past, Prado Museum already devoted several exhibitions to Flemish art.
