Budget: € 75.000
Period: 2019 – 2020
The Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership (ECEAP) is a training center and think tank aimed at the Eastern Partnership countries, which is a partnership between the European Union and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus.
On the basis of the experience gained during the Estonian transition phase after the fall of the Soviet Union, ECEAP offers, among other things, programs aimed at building better-functioning democratic institutions, developing an appropriate legislative framework, encouraging partnerships and increasing the involvement of local authorities and civil society in policy.
In 2016, the ECEAP already received a subsidy from the Government of Flanders with which it was able to collaborate with the Ukrainian regions of Zaporizhia and Ternopil to meet the need for decentralization reforms. The same workshops will be given to staff from local authorities, civil society organizations and media representatives in the Mariupol / Donetsk and Mykolaiv regions.
