On November 4 and 5, Minister-President Jambon, together with Walloon Minister-President Jeholet and Minister-President of the German-speaking Community Paasch, went on a mission to Berlin. Julie Bynens, Secretary General of Flanders Chancellery and Foreign Office, was also part of the delegation.
The program included a reception in the residence of Belgian ambassador HE Muylle and a visit to the Bundesrat, where there was time for talks between the Belgian Ministers-President and the Ministers-President of Thuringia, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.
A visit was paid to 50Hertz and the delegation also took part in a round table discussion with Flemish entrepreneurs.
During the mission, twenty years of diplomatic representation of Flanders in Germany was also celebrated. During an official reception, Minister-President Jambon and General Representative of Flanders in Germany Nic Van der Marliere, as well as State Secretary at the federal government for North Rhine-Westphalia Dr. Mark Speich, praised the excellent relations between Flanders and Germany.
