In the coming months, several personnel changes will take place within the diplomatic network of Flanders abroad.
As of November 1, Bart Brosius will be appointed as General Representative of Flanders in the United Kingdom. Bart Brosius has been working for the government of Flanders since 2015: first as a policy officer at the General Representation of Flanders in New York and from 2018 as Deputy General Representative in London. He has been acting General Representative in London since September 2021.
Bart Brosius takes over from May Persoons, who returned to the head office in Brussels.

On January 1, 2022, Matthias De Moor will start working as General Representative of Flanders in Italy. This to replace Geert De Proost, who will retire in 2022. Matthias De Moor is an economist and has been working for the government of Flanders (Environment Department) on International Environmental Policy since 2013.
